A twelve-gauge crew neck in Giza 87 cotton plied with merino, piece-dyed in Sceptre Red — the house colour, and the only one it is made in. Fully fashioned shoulders, ribbed collar, cuffs and hem, and the wordmark set once on the left cuff. It will soften for about six washes, then stay.

Fit notes

True to size, cut for a straight body line — not slim, not boxy. Worn by men and women in the same sizing. The models are 183 cm and 175 cm, both in a size M.

The one colour

Sceptre Red is the house colour, matched to a physical lab dip rather than a book reference. There is no second colourway and there is not going to be one this season.

We deliver to every governorate in Egypt, cash on delivery. EGP 70 to every governorate, EGP 20 to the Red Sea (Hurghada). Cairo and Giza in one to two days, everywhere else in two to five. Returns within fourteen days, unworn, tags on.

How the estimate is made

The photograph does most of the work. The house reads the chest width and the length off the shirt you send, using the A4 sheet to set the scale, and finds the size of ours that lies closest. Without the sheet it can only estimate from proportion, and it says so. Height and weight are the cross-check — they give a chest measurement, not a certainty — and if they point somewhere different you are told. Send no photo and height and weight alone still return a size. A tape across your own shirt, armpit to armpit, beats all of it.

One sizing, both

The Sceptre Crew is cut for a straight body line and sized the same for men and women — S, M and L, and nothing either side. The sex you give is used only to estimate your chest from your height and weight; it does not send you to a different block, because there isn't one. If your shirt or your build falls outside S to L, you are told plainly rather than sold a size that will not sit right.

Between two sizes

Take the larger. Twelve-gauge cotton and merino relaxes across the chest over the first few wears and will not come back; the smaller size is only right if you want the piece close and are prepared for it to stay that way.
